In honor of Black History Month, the Rivaa Gallery on Roosevelt Island is exhibiting "The Lives That Made the Lives We Live" paying homage to black creations and inventions. A 3 week long exhibition highlighting black inventions & their silent impact on our global standard of living.
Talented NYV artists explore the effect of black inventions on the physical world & the human psyche in mediums ranging from Paint & Textiles to Photography & Film.
This exhibition serves as a tribute to some of these forgotten legacies. Opening ceremony will be on February 8th from 6-9pm. Arts will be exhibited through March 2nd. All are welcome!
