Want to make a difference in someone's life? Want to help someone going through one of the most difficult experiences in life? Hospice volunteering is a great way to help others. The rewards are not tangible but they are real and deep. Our agency is expanding in the West Valley with our Tolleson and Sun City West offices. We would love to have you join our team of dedicated, caring volunteers!
The services you provide as a Hospice volunteer profoundly improves the quality of our patient's lives. Friendly visits enable families to keep their loved ones at home, around the people they love, and the things they love. Simply holding a patient's hand can ease their mind and comfort their spirit.
Volunteering takes no advanced medical training. It can be as simple as reading to, or spending time with a patient a few hours a week. It is small deeds of kindness that enhances the quality of our patients lives and those who love them.
There are many kinds of Hospice volunteers. Volunteer candidates go through interview and screening processes to ensure the safety of our patients and their families. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, skills and interests.
Our volunteers are thoroughly trained and supported in the skills they need for the volunteer role. Training includes scheduled sessions, individual training and on-site training for groups and organizations. If you are interested in becoming a hospice volunteer or would like more information on volunteering please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Jarrid Younkin, through this website or directly at 623-936-8136.
