The Chiang Mai University Faculty of Nursing is looking for a multifaceted native English speaker to join our staff for a part-time position (24 hours/week or 3 days). The person in this position will have the following duties:

• Developing Social Marketing and Public Relations Strategy:

  • Develop strategies for increasing organizational visibility
  • Develop strategies for recruiting international students to undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Develop strategies to raise profile of research output and increase engagement nationally and internationally
  • Develop strategies for traditional e-marketing methods such as e-newsletters and website

• Implement Social Media and Public Relations Campaigns

  • Use clear and compelling language to write articles, posts, etc. to increase interest and awareness
  • Support faculty and staff to raise profile of research and engage nationally, regionally and internationally with users of the research
  • Monitor social media for relevant topics and conversations and forge connections with nursing professionals, leaders, and influencers
  • Edit English-language content for posts developed by other departments

• Conduct Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Measure success of various campaigns
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement, suggest content optimization, and web traffic metrics.
  • Develop reports and updates


We are seeking candidates with digital marketing/social media marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) marketing experience, as well as strong writing, editing, and communication skills. Must have experience working with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn or other social media platforms and ability to write in different “voices” for different audiences. A background or familiarity with working in an academic environment is a plus. Strong organizational skills and event organizing experience a plus. Ideal candidates are self-starters who are equally adept at working independently and as part of a team.
