The New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a talented and motivated professional for the position of Legal Support Analyst, Hate Crimes (LSA). The LSA will provide investigative and legal support, policy analysis, and community outreach and education. Based in New York City and seated in the Civil Rights Bureau, the LSA will report to the Special Counsel for Hate Crimes.
The Special Counsel enforces civil laws that protect New Yorkers from bias‑based violence and intimidation related to race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, religion, religious practice, age, disability, or sexual orientation. The Special Counsel also develops strategies to combat hate crimes and hate groups through public education, outreach, litigation, and policy work.
The duties of the LSA will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Investigative & Legal Support Functions
Policy Analysis, Community Outreach, & Public Education Functions
