The Business Management team develops and manages over 30 partnerships with commercial and non-profit organizations providing a variety of services and programs within the park.
It establishes partnership requirements, negotiates contracts, and oversees partner operations in a manner consistent with the National Park Service mission and policy.
The available position: REALTY SPECIALIST [GS-1170-11] Permanent
The Realty Specialist is responsible for management of a portfolio of leased properties, including historic residences, restaurants, and equestrian facilities, Rights of Way permits, encroachments, and third party permitted uses of NPS lands. The position requires knowledge of a wide range of real estate principles, concepts and practices used in managing and maintaining federally controlled and owned real property.
The Realty Specialist manages the GGNRA Residential Master Lease. The master lessee is responsible for a portfolio of historic residences at Fort Mason and throughout the park, utilizing repair and maintenance reserve funds and as well as overseeing capital improvement projects on historic residences. There are currently 38 units totaling over 100,000 square feet of building space.
The Realty Specialist develops and oversees implementation of plans related to facility preservation and maintenance, programming, health and safety, risk management, environmental sustainability, financial management, and other elements of lessee operations.
The Realty Specialist participates in related park planning and administration in order to deliver appropriate and/or complementary services in the Park and to provide strategic, seamless management of lessees and facilities-based partnerships.
