The UVU Center for Social Impact (formerly the Volunteer & Service-Learning Center) drives social impact by connecting students and community. Our work focuses on the social impact pathways of Direct Service, Community Engaged Learning & Research, Social Entrepreneurship & Corporate Social Responsibility, Policy & Governance, Community Organizing & Activism, and Philanthropy. Our work designs programs, initiatives, and collaborations that move students from pathway entry points to more substantial community learning experiences.
The Student Programs Coordinator is responsible for oversight and management of the Alternative Breaks (college student service trips), Social Impact Scholars, and Service Council programs, ensuring quality student leadership and experiential learning for all participants. Responsibilities include the management of the Alternative Breaks trips, building partnerships, conducting training, and advising student leaders. This position requires tenacity, energy, and a commitment to social impact and civic engagement work.
