Claremont International High School builds upon the diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds of English Language Learners in New York City to create a stimulating academic and nurturing learning community that prepares students for success in college and the workplace. Our students cultivate intellectual curiosity and develop empathy as global citizens through the integration of language and the arts in all classes.
CLIHS follows the instructional model of the Internationals Network for Public Schools, which emphasizes heterogeneous student groupings, collaboration as a key element of the learning process for students, and experiential learning. CLIHS utilizes project-based learning, and students complete portfolio projects as part of their graduation requirement.
We are currently looking for a NY State certified teacher for a Visual Arts position for the 2018-2019 school year. The Visual Arts teacher will be part of an interdisciplinary team working with our Junior Institute (9th and 10th grades).
Qualifications and Skills
NY State Teaching Certification required.
