Description

ARC seeks a highly organized and detail-orientated project coordinator to facilitate the many moving parts of the POWER (Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization) initiative. The POWER program is part of a congressionally funded initiative supporting efforts to create a more vibrant economic future for Appalachia’s coal-impacted communities.


This role will coordinate all logistics such as facilitating community outreach, coordinating content for RFPs, facilitating internal communication within the agency, and working directly with potential grantees. This position will work collaboratively with the ARC team, the thirteen ARC states that comprise the Appalachian region, LDDs (Local Development Districts), and other public agencies at the federal, state and local level as well as community partners, groups and grantees.


The successful candidate will have superb communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, and be resourceful and proactive.

Benefits

ARC generally follows the General Schedule Salary Table of the Federal government. ARC’s grade NF 9/11 is equivalent to the federal grade GS 9/11. This is not a federal position; however, if a federal employee is selected for this position and transfers without a break in service of more than three calendar days, he or she is entitled to continue his or her retirement and life/health insurance benefits. A non-federal selectee will be offered a benefits package (including health, retirement, paid time off, commuting subsidy, etc.).
