We are the largest community college in Colorado, enrolling close to 28,000 credit students annually. We were one of 30 colleges in the initial American Association of Community Colleges Pathways Project, recently selected as a “Most Promising Place to Work” in Diverse Magazine, and profiled as one of six top community colleges for transfer student success in a recent Aspen Institute publication. We have developed a strong strategic plan focused on improving student graduation and transfer rates and have made significant investments in advising and other student support programs.

Who You Are
As the Senior Director, Small Business Development Center (SBDC), you will direct Small Business Development Center (SBDC), which provides street-smart business education and connection to useful resources, to Larimer County small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to start, or better operate, a business. The SBDC is “hosted” and sponsored by FRCC. In this Director position, you will develop and execute strategies, programs, and tactics to optimally support the Larimer County entrepreneur in collaboration with local/regional economic development partners as well as Small Business Administration and SBDC partners.
Please note: You need to be a Colorado resident by your first day of employment.

We offer a comprehensive benefit package designed to provide you and your eligible dependents, including domestic partner, with a broad range of employer paid and employee paid benefit options. Eligibility for benefits is defined by your employment classification – see detailed benefit information.
We offer a generous amount of annual and sick leave. Depending on your Employment Classification and full or part-time status, we offer up to 4.5 weeks annually of accrued vacation time and 10 hours a month of accrued sick time. There are 10 paid holidays throughout the year, 5 of which allow the college to be closed Christmas Day through New Year’s Day, so you can spend time with family and friends.
Education and your success is a priority at Front Range Community College. We encourage you to develop job skills and abilities which will benefit you as well as our college. Eligible employees, their eligible dependents, and domestic partners may enroll in credit courses at any of the 13 system community colleges. Tuition is reimbursed by the college for those classes in which the student receives a grade of C or higher.

In addition to medical coverage, we also have dental and vision insurance plans to choose from. All plans have the option to include your eligible dependents and we pay for a portion of the insurance coverage to help offset the cost.
We participate in Colorado Public Employee Retirement Association (PERA) available to state of Colorado employees. PERA provides retirement and other benefits to more than 500 government agencies and public entities in the state of Colorado. PERA eligible employees are required to contribute a percentage of their salary to the pension, and the college contributes a percentage of pay as well. While you are enrolled in PERA, you do not pay Social Security. In addition, there are supplemental retirement plans available through three other vendors. Learn more about PERA.
