Specific duties of this entry-level position include, but are not limited to, the following:

·       assisting with audit planning

·       interviewing agency officials and others

·       reviewing agency records

·       conducting analyses using various software and analytical techniques

·       testing and sampling agency data

·       assembling, synthesizing, and summarizing qualitative and quantitative information to answer defined objectives  

·       assisting with writing audit reports


Required and Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. 


Preferred qualifications include:

·       a degree in business or public administration, economics, mathematics, political science, or other relevant discipline

·       a graduate degree

·       six months to two years’ experience in an organizational setting

·       experience in auditing or program evaluation


Conditions of Employment


The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain an agency security clearance and pass a fingerprint-based criminal history background check. The candidate also must relocate near the Topeka, Kansas area.
