Claremont International High School builds upon the diverse linguistic and cultureal backgrounds of English Language Learners in New York City to create a stimulating academic and nurturing learning community that prepares students for success in college and the workplace. CLIHS follows the instructional model of the Internationals Network for Public Schools, which emphasizes heterogeneous student groupings, collaboration as a key element of the learning process for students, and experiential learning. CLIHS utilizes project-based learning, and students complete portfolio projects as part of their graduation requirement.
We are currently looking for a NY State certified teacher with a NYC file number for a part-time intervention teacher position. The intervention teacher would push-into classes for additional support as well as lead small-group tutoring.
Responsibilities and Duties
The intervention teacher would push-into classes for additional support as well as lead small-group tutoring. Scheduling is flexible. Seeking approximately 3 days per week.
Qualifications and Skills
NY State Teaching Certification required. This is an F-Status position; a NYC file number is required.
