The Northwest Regional Council, as an Area Agency on Aging, funds and/or provides community-based programs to help elders and people with disabilities live in their own homes and communities for as long as possible, postponing or eliminating the need for institutional care. The Mental Health Clinician provides assessments and ongoing individual counseling for older and/or disabled people in their homes or place of residence in Whatcom, Island, San Juan and Skagit counties. Services delivered are strengths based and include, but are not limited to individual psychotherapy, treatment planning, identification and development of natural supports, advocacy, and collaboration with other supports. Additionally, Clinicians provide mental health-related expertise for the other NWRC Care Management Programs. NWRC is currently seeking 1 FTE each for Bellingham (Whatcom County) and Mount Vernon (Skagit County) offices.

Note: NWRC meets the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) definition of a public service organization.
