Temporary Assignments: Assignments vary in duration depending on the needs of the department. An assignment may end at any time. To obtain a regular position, the appointee will need to compete successfully in a County Exam when open.
*Assignments are expected to last approximately 12 months to 18 months depending on the need of the department.

EDUCATION: Possession of a Bachelor's degree, including 30 semester or 45 quarter units in social welfare, social/human services, sociology or other behavioral science. – AND –
EXPERIENCE: The equivalent of two years of full-time experience performing duties comparable to a Social Worker II. (Completion of one year of graduate study in an accredited school of social work may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.)
