Location: New York, NY

Who we are:

Based in Manhattan, the Israel Economic Mission to the East Coast operates within the public sector but is private-sector minded. We act as a bridge between the U.S. East Coast and Israeli business communities, and seek to connect entrepreneurs, investors, and companies from a wide variety of industries. By leveraging its networking capacity and industry knowledge in Israel and Eastern United States, the Economic Mission is able to provide business value and foster synergies between prospective business partners half a world apart. Our mission is to generate win-win collaborations and create value in the Israel-US business and tech collaboration junction.


The New York based office places an emphasis on working with Israeli early to growth stage companies in various sectors, supporting their U.S. market entry efforts.

Our services are rendered to companies of any size and sector. At the same time we place focus on specific sectors that are designated dedicated coverage by a team member.


Who we are looking for:

The Government of Israel Economic Mission to The East Coast is looking for a Partnership and Business Development Lead to be part of its team of professionals.


As a member of our team of specialists, you will lead the facilitation of mutually beneficial connections between leading U.S.-based companies and Israeli innovative companies who wish to enter the U.S. market or to scale up an existing presence in it. In this role you will be assigned a specific industry vertical (e.g. Aerospace, Consumer Goods, Homeland Security, Mobile, Retail, Food & Beverage /Consumer Products, etc.) and will promote U.S.-Israel business partnerships in the sector. An ideal candidate is a people person with strong business instincts, energetic, a quick learner with high level of motivation, who has a strong desire to play a key role in this arena and is able to deliver quality results.


Responsibilities:

 Conduct industry and market research in various sectors;

 Maintain industry knowledge on new technologies and key ecosystem players;

 Provide active assistance to Israeli companies in identifying relevant resources, business opportunities, and contacts to expand into the U.S. market;

 Scout technology in Israel for U.S. companies and investors in view of specific requirements;

 Initiate, lead and execute business events, Israeli participation in conferences, exhibitions and trade shows, as well as technology roadshows in the U.S. and Israel;

 Hold online industry focused seminars and events, and broker virtual 1:1 meetings between Israeli and U.S. companies;

 Coordinate meetings between U.S. and Israeli companies at industry conferences and trade shows;

 Attend professional and business events to build strong & trusted relationships with key stakeholders (corporates and investors) in the market;

 Manage relationships with senior professionals including VP and C-level executives at leading U.S. companies and investment firms;

 Collaborate with partner organizations (private and governmental) in driving U.S.-Israel business activities.


Qualifications:

 A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or communications-focused field;

 2-4 years of work experience in a relevant client-facing role;

 Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work well in a team;

 Excellent communication skills;

 Proficient in written and verbal English (knowledge of Hebrew not required but would be an advantage);

 Self-motivated and enthusiastic about innovation, new technology, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration;

 Detail oriented, highly organized and able to manage project tasks, event logistics, and databases;

 Comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced, intense work environment;

 Able to effectively communicate with senior executives, often on semi-technical issues;

 Able to perform well in a multicultural environment (previous experience would be a plus but is not requirement);

 Familiarity with a specific industry or tech sector is a plus.

 Startup experience and project management experience is a plus.
