Description

The Sustainability Office is seeking a full-time Communications and Relationship Manager to advance the story of our work. The position is ideal for someone who brings excellent writing, critical thought, problem solving and the mechanics of fundraising and communications.


Duties include producing and writing communications content across multiple platforms, managing a team of student interns, occasionally acting as a spokesperson for the office, and coordinating fundraising efforts among public, private and individual donors.


The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and contributors. Experience in the field of sustainability is preferred, though not required. The manager will work alongside a dynamic team of 11+ faculty/staff and 20+ students advocating for meaningful change across all areas of the University of Utah. The manager will report directly to the Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer and the Director of the Global Change & Sustainability Center, and will coordinate with sustainability professionals and other stakeholders across campus.
