Our Program

Our graduates inspire and effect the kind of change that results in lasting impact on their organizations and communities.

The Master of Nonprofit Leadership (MNPL) program emphasizes the latest in leadership and management theory and the practical skills and dexterity required of nonprofit leaders. Students work with a distinguished mix of Seattle University faculty and practitioner instructors, learn with a cohort of peers, and build their networks among nonprofit and philanthropic leaders in the region.

The Graduate Certificate in Fundraising Leadership (GCFL) is the first of its kind in Washington, and is designed to meet the growing demand for effective fundraisers. A strong theoretical grounding provides the foundation for classes that teach fundraising fundamentals, individual giving, grantwriting, and financial management.

  • "Joining the MNPL program was hands down one of the most rewarding and practical moves I've ever made. I've never felt more valued and engaged. My cohort challenged me, my professors empowered me, and I gained identity within my own right as a leader. I walked away with transferable, hard skills that have already helped promote me twice to effectively serve others."

Tiffany Bigham, Master of Nonprofit Leadership ‘17
  • "The MNPL program has been instrumental in helping me develop my leadership and solidify my core values. The knowledge I gained, connections I made, and leadership skills I learned all played crucial parts in getting the opportunity to step into my current role."

Charlie Clark, Master of Nonprofit Leadership ‘17
  • "Pursuing my graduate certificate in Fundraising Leadership solidified my passion for fundraising. I had the opportunity to meet and learn from fundraisers new to the profession, as well as, seasoned experts."
