Want something different? Well you have come to the right place. Bangor University is a historic University located between the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park, the wonderful Irish Sea coastline, and the awe-inspiring Isle of Anglesey. What makes Bangor special is its location: a location set in stunning beauty where you can receive a world leading education.
We have over 700 courses from Undergraduate to Postgraduate levels. Our small size means you will get an education where you feel valued, all while getting the support that you not only need but deserve. It is this support that Bangor students love as it allows them to reach their real potential! But what else are we great at? Our research is world leading and we are in the UK Top 40 for research, according to the Research Excellence Framework 2014. Our Students love us too. The National Student Survey (NSS) results place Bangor amongst the UK’s top 10 universities for student satisfaction.
We guarantee you a room in our award winning accommodation. In 2019, Bangor University's accommodation was ranked 3rd in the What Uni Student Choice Awards. As an added bonus, we are the cheapest University town to live in, according to Totally Money in their 2019 rankings! And if that was not enough, we offer free membership of all clubs and societies too! So, a stunning location, TEF Gold teaching, world leading research, affordable living, and free clubs and societies: what’s not to love?
We take a holistic approach to admissions and look at you as a whole, not just your GPA. Please always contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your application, we can allways look into what is possible for you! Usually a minimum GPA of 2.7 - 3.0 from a reputable university is required, but with work experience this can be flexible. No GRE requirement, however we do request a personal statement, transcripts and a research proposal where appropriate. Each application is assessed individually. Students may be eligible for entry under the mature student regulations. This regulation does not require a bachelor degree. The applicants must however have obtained relevant work experience or held a position of responsibility relevant to the proposed course of study for a minimum period of 2 years prior to commencing the course. This rule does NOT apply for applicants for PhD studies, and entrants MUST have a taught postgraduate degree.
We work on a rolling admissions basis, so there is no fixed deadline for applications. Please just contact email@example.com for more guidance on applying.
