Our Program
Ranked a top ten school of social policy by U.S. News & World Report, the Heller School gives you access to the nation’s leading policy analysts and top research institutes. We offer six exemplary social policy programs, each providing you with the theoretical skills, practical experience and diverse perspectives you need to impart meaningful change in your community and around the world.
• Master of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence
• Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development
• Master of Science in Global Health Policy and Management
At Heller, you’ll benefit from the diverse perspectives of a highly engaged faculty and an international student population. You’ll develop a deep understanding of the root causes of society’s most pressing social issues, the capacity to analyze and design effective solutions, and the management skills to put your ideas into practice. Whichever cause you are most committed to – ending poverty, improving health policy, protecting the environment, spurring community development, resolving conflict or protecting the rights of women, children and minorities – you’ll develop the broad knowledge and focused skills to better serve the communities you care deeply about and have a positive impact on society. In every classroom and every degree program, you’ll work with students and faculty who are relentlessly focused on improving lives locally and globally through smart social policies and leadership in mission-driven organizations.
If you are solutions-oriented and passionate about social justice, we encourage you to request more information about our degree programs, learn more at heller.brandeis.edu or contact us at helleradmissions@brandeis.edu or 781-736-3820.

What Our Students Say
It’s really common that a student will say something in class that I never, ever would have thought of myself. I love that about this program.
Tozoe Marton, MS GHPM/MA SID ‘20My Heller cohort continues to be my extended family and professional network. I frequently reach out to individuals or groups to inquire about specific topics and I’m always amazed by the overwhelming support.
Rodrigo Moran, MA SID ‘16I was drawn in by Heller’s social justice focus. I didn’t want to have to do a more traditional graduate program and translate that to the work I wanted to do. I wanted to be around people who cared about the same things I cared about.
