What Our Students Say
One of the most valuable aspects of the public finance curriculum at Rockefeller was its practical approach to real world situations. We looked at actual organizations' financial issues in real time. My edge in the workplace has been my familiarity with the different tasks at hand from day one.
Tolulope Bamwo, MPA ‘14Rockefeller College launches careers. The meaningful connections I made with my peers and faculty members, the number of substantive homeland security internships I had, and the practical skills in Microsoft Excel and quantitative analyses I learned in the classroom not only helped to connect me with my first professional employer but also helped me land the job!
Tina S. Change, MPA ‘14The MPA at Rockefeller helped prepare me for work in the public sector more than I could have ever imagined. Things that were daunting before, such as analyzing a budget or policy research became some of my favorite things I learned. I felt well prepared to enter the public service workforce after my time here. I use the skills I learned at Rockefeller every day, most of the time without even realizing that I'm doing it.
