Our Program

The University of Essex is a UK University close to London with a long history of welcoming students from around the world.

We are Essex: home to the ambitious and those who want to make a difference. We are proud to be top 30 in the Complete University Guide (2022), a past University of the Year (THE) and international recognised for Social Sciences.

Essex offers an enriched university experience. We encourage our students to get involved inside and outside the classroom whether that's one of our many sports clubs and societies, learning another language, getting a part-time job or doing a discounted year of study abroad or placement.

We understand studying abroad can be daunting so provide a large range of support to help you settle in and succeed. We provide a range of scholarships whether academic excellence, regional, sporting or for our MBA.

Essex is home to over 16,000 students from more than 140 countries, across three campuses close to London. Our largest campus is in Colchester, a beautiful, friendly campus in the oldest recorded town in the UK. We have an Acting school in London and a campus near the beach in Southend-on-Sea. Whatever campus, students will be studying and living within a vibrant and diverse global community; a great place to call home.
