Our Program

Our philosophy starts with the individual & holds that each person is truly unique & the idea that experience & education are intricately linked

Graduate study at Goddard College occurs in a vibrant, socially just and ecologically sustainable learning community. We are committed to diversity, critical engagement, and transformative learning. Goddard gives students control of their education. This means you decide what you want to study, how you want to study, and how you will demonstrate what you’ve learned. Our degrees are offered in a low-residency format, which means you don’t put your life on hold in order to complete your education.

Bringing together faculty from across the humanities, social sciences, and health arts disciplines, the Goddard Graduate Institute seeks to integrate scholarship and personal development with social, ecological, artistic and cultural action to support students who want to effect positive change in the world. The pursuit of knowledge involves both a deep and rigorous intellectual endeavor and well-grounded and effective transformative practice. The Goddard Graduate Institute supports students whose individualized studies reach across and beyond established liberal arts and sciences disciplines to inter- and transdisciplinary studies.
