WHO WE ARE
We are a virtually based student-led volunteer initiative striving to aid and empower first-generation low-income (FGLI) students in their educational journey, while fostering a positive networking community for students and their parents/guardians.
To provide resources for FGLI students for their education and aspirations, regardless of their race, gender, or socioeconomic backgrounds.
We want to hold out a hand to any FGLI students feeling lost and uncertain in their education and academic lives.
WHAT WE DO
Through tutoring/mentoring programs, we provide services to FGLI students from grades 3-12 in need of academic support or extracurricular guidance. With many volunteers being multilingual, we also aim to provide support to immigrant/minority children in need of language support.
With a monthly newsletter, we provide informative resources for both students and parents regarding the US educational system, daily tips, college advice, etc.
Most of all, we seek to provide a community of students for FGLI students to relate to and lean on, and a source of mental and emotional support.
JOIN OUR TEAM
We are always seeking diligent and committed students in our mission of empowering and helping FGLI youth. Applications are open for:
