Program/Fellowship Description
The Executive Office and Communications Fellow supports the CEO, Executive Vice President, as well as the larger External Affairs team. This is an operations focused role that will plug into many of the other External Affairs initiatives. This fellow will conduct research and produce briefings on behalf of our Executive Office. The Executive Office and Communications Fellow will help maintain relationships with Meridian's external audiences, develop organizational communication and cultivate fundraising opportunities. This fellow will support the overall mission of the organization by engaging a broad network through the creation of online content on behalf of the Executive Office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support the Executive Office by bookkeeping Meridian's historic memorabilia and manage institutional documents.
· Prepare event briefings and materials for the CEO and members of the Board of Trustees.
· Assist with Meridian's ongoing Embassy Outreach Initiative by researching organizations and leaders.
· Assist with the maintenance of the Salesforce database by providing up-to-date contact information and relationship details for the Executive Office and Press.
· Contribute written content and curate photo galleries of events for Meridian's blog, social media platforms and/or website.
· Write Meridian's monthly newsletter, The Meridian Exchange.
· Track earned media and help develop communications strategies for the Executive Office. Assist with other Meridian events as needed such as the Board of Trustees meetings.
· Completing all organizational administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.
· Participation in Fellowship cohort activities
· Other duties as assigned
