Description

A New York City nonprofit organization is actively seeking a new Database & Donor Services Manager for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Database & Donor Services Manager will be responsible for providing the oversight of all data management, reporting, acknowledgement functions, and prospect data for the organization. The Database & Donor Services Manager will:

  • Oversee and maintain the organization's donor database system, Raiser's Edge
  • Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of the database
  • Act as a liaison with the Chief Development Officer and key staff to lead gift entry, coding, attribution, acknowledgement processes, reporting, and metrics to ensure optimal collection and utilization of donor data
  • Assess the organization's current database utilization and develop more effective policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain standard queries and reports
  • Create and manage department dashboard for development and financial reporting
  • Create pledge tracking reports; set reporting priorities and establish appropriate timelines for gift entry, report generation, and the acknowledgments of gifts / pledges
  • Maintain constituent records and ensure all biographical information is appropriately obtained and kept up-to-date 
  • Facilitate department-specific and organization-wide Raiser's Edge staff trainings
  • Handle other duties, as needed


Skills:


  • 3+ years of Fundraising / Data Systems experience required, preferably in a complex and/ or federated non-profit emi.ronrnent
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Comprehensive understanding of Major Gift and Annual Fund Fundraising principles and trends in Fundraising and Philanthropy
  • Microsoft Excel proficient (Pivot Tables, Fill function, Formatting, Reporting, etc.)
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively



Desired Skills:


  • Blackbaud certification for Raiser's Edge
  • Experience in a Nonprofit environment
