Our client, a non-profit in Washington, D.C. with the mission of helping children in D.C. thrive. The organization provides programming, services, and financial support to aid children in the District of Columbia. 

We are seeking a savvy membership management and fundraising professional to assist in membership growth, community engagement and programming, and foundation fundraising as we fulfill our missions in helping children in Washington, D.C. You believe in the power of volunteers to do great things for children in D.C. and can translate that passion to our members, donors, and community stakeholders. This position is a salaried full-time role.

What You’ll be Doing: 

·       Event Management - 15%

·       Membership Management and Engagement - 20%

·       Marketing and Communications 30%

·       Fundraising and Finance - 35%

Nice to Have Skills/Qualifications:

  • Kiwanis Family or Service Club experience
  • Membership Management or association experience
  • Experience with Adobe Suite such as Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Experience using Canva
  • Experience using Mobilize and EveryAction 
  • Graduate Degree


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree Preferred)
  • At least 1-3 years of professional work experience
  • CRM or database management experience
  • Event management experience
  • Fundraising experience
  • Social Media Management
  • Must be able to attend events in-person in D.C. on up to a weekly basis (as COVID-19 safety guidelines allow)
  • Able to pass required International background check
  • Ability to work weeknight evening hours and occasional weekend hours

Salary and benefits:

  • Base salary of $67,000
  • Bonus compensation of 2% matched for funds raised beyond $20,000/year
  • Health insurance stipend of $600/month
  • Paid time off
  • Paid professional development
