A nonprofit organization in Westchester County is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Individual Gifts Manager. Working within the Fund Development Department, the Individual Gifts Manager will be responsible for the overall digital and print strategy and fundraising plan for the cultivation, and stewardship of individual donors. The Individual Gifts Manager will:

  • Develop and implement a measurable donor cultivation plan with touches, asks amounts, and risk assessments across the various defined portfolios of individual donors
  • Research, assess and define personal, major gifts and direct mail portfolio, from larger set of qualified donors
  • Manage and provide oversight of Direct Mail Plan through third party vendor
  • Develop and implement individual, strategic cultivation and annual solicitation plans based on individual capacity and readiness to give
  • Provide strategic direction to Digital Cultivation and Solicitation programs
  • Work with other team members to develop consistent, written communications to donors and prospects
  • Provide donor assistance to any inquiries and maintain personal contact and good relationships with donors through timely and polite communication
  • Monitor progress and report monthly on progress against fund raising goals
  • Deliver meaningful donor stewardship through gift acknowledgement letters, welcome packets, reports, phone calls, thank you notes and other techniques
  • Handle other duties, as needed


  • 3+ years of experience in a Nonprofit setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Marketing expertise and/or knowledge of managing a robust Direct Mail program
  • Previous experience managing Digital Communications, including: Website, Social Media, and E-Solicitations
  • Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge and/or similar Donor Database
  • Microsoft Office/Suite proficient 
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Exceptional phone etiquette
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
