Nurse Manager, Ambulatory

SUNY Upstate Medical University is looking for a Nurse Manager – Ambulatory in both the Neurology – UHCC and University Cardiology Departments. The Nurse Manager – Ambulatory will assume the primary leadership role and management of the respective ambulatory department to facilitate and deliver comprehensive patient care. Major functions include: supervision of clinical and clerical staff, oversight of budget and clinic staffing model, drive clinic process and efficiency, manage key performance indicators and quality initiatives, contribute to program growth/marketing and oversee nursing standards related to certification and accreditation.

Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. NYS License/Registration or eligible as a Registered Nurse required. Three years of post-licensure acute care experience (preferably in specialty area) to include leadership experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Nursing Leadership certification strongly preferred. Other specialty based certifications for nursing leadership (i.e. CCRN, CEN) are also encouraged and supported. CPR successfully completed before hire. Masters degree preferred.
