We are looking for business development minded individuals with a good sense of humor, a desire to learn, and an altruistic streak. In the Junior Account Executive role, you’ll contribute to the Business Development team’s objectives through prospecting, lead assessment, and assignment as you learn to foster new relationships in the Idealist Way.

Jnr. Account Executive is a full-time exempt position and reports to the Director of Client Success as a member of Idealist Consulting's Business Development team.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Collaborate with Business Development team to maintain strong Client lead pipeline
  • Support outbound sales activities such as call and email campaigns
  • Work with with marketing team to identify and update lead channels, qualifiers, and targets
  • Monitor and complete assigned follow up tasks from Pardot Engagement Program and other marketing automation platforms
  • Monitor and facilitate Quickstart leads & follow-ups
  • Engage with SFDO Partner Community portal as instructed
  • Represent company at industry events when applicable
  • Assess inbound leads and advance qualified opportunities through sales cycle
  • Keep account, contact, and opportunity records up to date 
  • Review and vet Quickstart leads
  • Support prospect engagement using internal tools such as chatbot
  • Facilitate assigned prospect relationships throughout the sales cycle
  • Maintain a positive, professional rapport with current and prospective clients
  • Schedule sales calls and follow-ups in a timely manner
  • Facilitate organized discovery calls to assess Client needs and requests
  • Track opportunity progress and maintain documentation to administrative standards
  • Support sales leaders with completion of sales documents and presentations
  • Ensure smooth sales to service deployment transition 
  • Coordinate timely and detailed RFP responses

 

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Baseline Expectation:
  • 2+ years previous experience as an Account Executive, or in other sales/customer service role
  • Thorough understanding of MS Office with knowledge of Salesforce and / or other CRM platforms (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Extra Credit:
  • Working knowledge of consultative sales and/or Sandler Sales technique
  • Experience assessing client requirements and contract negotiation
  • Experience with nonprofit business process or fundraising
