University Advancement's Office of Gift Services and Data Integrity is seeking an Assistant Director of Data Integrity to join its team. The incumbent will report to the Senior Director of Data Integrity to help facilitate the proactive efforts to maintain the quality of data.

Duties include:


  • Maintain day to day department metrics
  • Identify ways to quantify department transactions
  • Develop tracking and reporting mechanisms for department on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis

High Level Processing

  • Liaise with the Office of the President and Trustee Office to ensure that high level constituents are processed accurately
  • Review changes to high level constituents records' to ensure that changes meet University standards
  • Communicate changes to high level constituents' records to the appropriate units
  • Conduct audits on high level constituents' records to ensure accuracy throughout the year
  • Review, standardize mailing lists for Presidential mailings/events

Data Quality Analysis

  • Identify data elements that require routine review
  • Identify patterns in data errors and recommend methods of correction
  • Provide specifications for reports to check for common entry errors
  • Develop a schedule to check for different data issues to ensure that the data is regularly cleaned and updated per established business rules
  • Document, review, and update business rules as needed
  • Use the report feature in Salesforce to query for data issues


  • Coordinate with the Sr. Director and university departments to resolve bio demographic issues that may occur
  • Determine if an issues is an anomaly or if there is a pattern that requires additional research and resources to resolve
  • Provide clear feedback to units and the Sr. Director on the status of any troubleshooting
  • Resolve issues in a timely fashion
  • Field inquiries regarding pending data requests


  • Coordinate with the Sr. Director of Data Integrity and User Experience Designers to test new database functionality
  • Report instances in the database that are not operating as intended
  • Recommend system enhancements to increase department and Advancement efficiency


  • Document department procedures
  • Update documentation as necessary
  • Document business rules

Work Distribution/Supervisory Backup

  • Organize and distribute biographic transactions to staff as needed
  • Review and close out completed tasks on a daily basis
  • Act as a back-up to the Sr. Director


  • Assist the Sr. Director of Data Integrity with in-house training for Data Integrity Staff

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 3 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Prior accounting experience providing a sound knowledge of fund and general ledger accounting and automated systems administration.
