Analyst

High Impact has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Analyst in its Albany, NY office for someone who is passionate about having a role in creating affordable housing, safe and stable neighborhoods, and promoting equity. The Analyst helps deliver loan underwriting and financial analysis support to our diverse roster of impact-driven clients. We are a Certified B Corporation, which means we are committed to using business as a force for good. We facilitate investment in affordable housing, charter school facilities, commercial real estate, and other community-driven projects by assisting nonprofit lenders, foundations, government entities, and other mission-focused financing organizations.

The Analyst opportunity is an entry-level position. Work includes assisting with financial statement spreading, loan underwriting, portfolio analysis, and consulting services. High Impact is a growing, entrepreneurial company looking for candidates who are excited to contribute to that growth and are passionate about our mission. The position is ideal for those with a finance background, either professionally or through their education, who are interested in community & economic development, social entrepreneurship, or impact investing. The Analyst will gain exposure to real estate finance, business finance, as well as the growing impact finance industry that uses capital for good.

Start Date: The successful candidate can start immediately

Compensation: Competitive entry-level salary and excellent benefits + profit share 

Location: Albany, NY

Experience: 0-3 years. While no experience is necessary, familiarity with financial statements and Microsoft Excel is required.

Travel: Occasional (1-3 times/year post-pandemic)

• Experienced with financial statements in a professional or educational setting. Familiarity with the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement is necessary.
• Strong writers and independent workers. The ability to work independently on tasks and communicate effectively in writing is fundamental to the position.
