ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Director of Budget Management & Operations will support senior leadership in overseeing GrowNYC’s suite of programs with an eye on financial operations, budget reporting, and grant management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integration of financial practices with program execution, creating the operational infrastructure necessary for accurate budget tracking and compliance. The role will work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure collaboration with program directors to cultivate best financial practices to meet budget goals. Additionally, this position will assist in operationalizing best practices in management systems, fostering appropriate integration and collaboration across teams and functional areas to ensure strong organizational performance and the achievement of strategic goals. The Director collaborates with the CEO and the Strategy & Operations Executive Director to ensure overall organizational success.

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations and program management, particularly within the nonprofit sector. They will excel at fostering cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless integration of financial practices with program execution, and driving operational efficiency to support the organization’s mission in food access and food justice. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience and includes full benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, pet insurance, long term disability, Incentive Savings plan, paid holidays, sick leave, PTO, commute, and FSA programs, parental leave for full-time regular employees who have been employed with GrowNYC for 175 days and FSA programs. GrowNYC is eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.) This position is managerial, not part of the bargaining unit.
