Scion Nonprofit Staffing (www.scionstaffing.com), has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a part-time Raiser’s Edge Expert for our client, a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the lives of our most vulnerable and end poverty! This is a part-time position working with the development team out of a Chicago area office. If you are looking for project work with flexible hours through the end of the year and have extensive Raiser’s Edge experience this is the opportunity for you!

 

The Details

- This is a part-time, contract position.

- A flexible 3-day per week schedule.

- A centrally located, easy to get to office in Chicago.

- Our client seeks a candidate who is a true Raiser’s Edge expert!

 

What you will be doing

- Developing reporting capability of Raiser’s Edge to satisfy data needs of users including designing custom reports.

- Completing special Raiser’s Edge projects related to development functions.

- Providing direction, support, and training for the database/data entry team to ensure that all constituent data is integrated, accurate, and organized for the creation of effective reporting needed by all members of the department, as well as other staff who have access to the system.

- Generating customized queries, reports, lists for development activities.

- Monitoring system usage and maintaining clear, consistent and thorough communication with users to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with usage policies and data entry standards.

- Evaluating and implementing changes to data systems tables to promote uniform and consistent use of the system.

- Overseeing the data importing process through Omatic software.

- Performing regular database maintenance including running data management and quality reports, as well as rectifying issues.

- Collaborating with accounting staff to reconcile donor database with financials.

- Working with IT, maintaining documentation on system usage and producing reports as identified and requested.

- Serving as a key member of the development staff team at events; occasional evening and weekend hours required for signature events.

- Maintaining an appropriate professional demeanor toward co-workers, donors, volunteers, program participants, and others.

 

What you have to offer

- A bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years experience OR a combination of education and documented employment experience.

- 3+ years experience in high-level Raiser’s Edge database administration: query-writing, data imports and exports, and report creation preferred.

- 2+ years experience in high-level Luminate Online functions, including online donations, web presence, and e-marketing preferred.

- A proven track record of accuracy, efficiency and dependability in data entry required

-The ability to maintain confidentiality of private and sensitive information.

- Some familiarity with accounting systems is preferred.

- Experience or exposure to Crystal Reports and/or Omatic software is a plus!

- You have in-depth experience and a strong desire and ability to create and improve processes.

- You thrive under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment.

- You are able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously .

-You are a strong relationship manager and capable of communicating purposes, goals, timelines, and strategies clearly; you can manage multiple stakeholders with varying agendas with respect.

- You possess the ability to write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; and are able to read and interpret written information.

- Problem solving skills! You can clearly identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem-solving situations; and use reason even with dealing with emotional topics.

- You are a planner and highly organized. You can prioritize and plans work activities; use your time efficiently; and develop realistic action plans.

- Adaptability to change in the work environment; you can manage competing demands, change your approach or method to best fit the situation; and are able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

- You can provide dependability! You follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for your actions; keeps commitments; complete tasks on time or notify appropriate person with alternative plans.
