Talent Acquisition Associate

 

Job Description

Talent Acquisition Associates (TAAs) work with the Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality (TRQ) and Borough Citywide Offices (BCOs) to support schools with staffing beginning during Peak Hiring Season and into late hiring. This is a direct support role, assisting principals and hiring managers with staffing NYCDOE schools for the 2022-23 school year.

 

Responsibilities include:

·      Outreach to Principals with escalated hiring needs

·      Outreach to candidates on behalf of Principals

·      Connecting with school hiring teams including Peer Recruiters

·      Promoting and supporting inclusive hiring

·      Scheduling interviews for schools

·      Representing BCO(s) at events

·      Sharing proactive candidate lists with schools

·      Maintaining outreach tracker(s)

·      Sharing information on TRQ initiatives with hiring managers

·      Additional supports as needed in partnership with our office and Human Resource Directors to support schools at scale

 

Schedule, Hours, and Pay:

·      Hours per week: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday. This role will be exclusively or primarily virtual. For those with in-person work, it will require a maximum of 2 in-person days per week.

·      Benefits: There are no benefits offered for this position.

·      Schedule:

o  Role begins in June, with June 6, 2022 being the preferred start date, and ends at the end of October.

o  Hours are typically 8am-4pm though there is some flexibility and occasional evening hours for virtual hiring events.

·      Pay: Compensation is between $20-28 per hour, depending on relevant experience and education.

o  TAAs will be hired as Educational Consultants through the NYCDOE, and will be paid as individual contractors.

o  Hiring is contingent on completion of a W-9 form and acceptance as an individual contractor.

 

Skills and Experience:

Required:

·      Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word

·      Clear written communication

·      Ability to balance multiple projects efficiently

·      6+ months of relevant work experience

 

Preferred:

·      Experience in education or recruitment

·      Experience working in an office environment
