    The Choice is employing a highly exciting opportunity with a renowned educational institution. This museum opened in 2016, with an outpouring of support, and continues to be one of the most highly visited historical and cultural museums in Washington, DC and in the United States.

    The Donor Services Assistant will directly support the Development Operations division of the museum. This is an administrative support role but will still interface with donors both through email and phone communications to assist with inquiries and donor account support.

    The ideal candidate will have/will be:

    • Previous development/fundraising support experience. Prior work experience with a museum or educational institution would be a very large plus
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
    • Previous experience with a CRM is preferred. Salesforce is a large plus!
    • Based in DMV area- this is a fully in-person position (Monday-Friday)

    Job Duties will include:

    • Serve as point of contact for donor and member credit card updates
    • Record, copy, and route gifts and checks for processing
    • Monitor, route and respond to incoming email in the Development Operations email resource account
    • Prepare and mail acknowledgement letters
    • Create constituent records and update information in the museum's fundraising database
    • Update contact information from returned emails
    • Update addresses from returned mail
    • Manage donor data for the Ambassador program
    • Download and update Ambassador data in Convio
    • Prepare and mail acknowledgement letters
    • Track postage stamp inventory
    • E-File records, gifts and documentation
    • Provide backup support for gift processing
    • Provide administrative support as needed

    Candidates must be fully available for an in-person role and able to commute to downtown DC Monday-Friday. Occasional attendance for museum events may also be required. This position is an open-ended contract opportunity, and will be an hourly position.
