Job Description

The Events and Online Fundraising Coordinator reports to the Development Associate of LuMind IDSC Foundation. The successful candidate will work with the Development Associate and the Chief Development Officer to advance the organization’s fundraising efforts through successfully planning, managing and executing all aspects of events and online fundraising programs. This includes third party fundraising events, peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns including our new P2P program (called my321) and existing charity running program, conferences, social media fundraisers and other various online events.  

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with third party event hosts to develop an event plan, provide event production and fundraising support, including virtual format during COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Manage runners program including NYC Marathon and Chicago Marathon (i.e. frequent runner emails, recruitment, celebration events, reporting to race directors).
  • Responsible for marketing, recruiting, fundraising and logistics to guarantee successful peer-to-peer campaigns. Additionally, this position works with each individual participant to ensure their fundraising success.
  • Coordinate all Facebook fundraisers and maintain up-to-date knowledge for all social media platform fundraising.
  • Coordinate conferences logistics, including sponsorship, materials and in-person logistics (note that most conferences will likely be virtual in 2021 due to COVID-19)

 

Qualifications and Skills

3 – 5 years development and nonprofit organization experience, ideally including third party event and online fundraising
  • Solid understanding of digital tools, processes and techniques for fundraising campaigns, advocacy campaigns, and social networking
  • Experience with peer-to-peer fundraising and SMS platforms
  • Proficient at using database systems, GoFundMe Charity (formerly Crowdrise) and Microsoft Suite. Experience with NetSuite and iModules a plus. 
  • Some travel required once in person conferences/events resume (minimal in 2021).
  • Ability to multitask, meet multiple deadlines, and keep calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work well both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

LuMind IDSC offers a robust compensation and benefit package. The target salary for the role is $37,500 while at 75% capacity. If moved to 100%, the salary would increase to $50,000. Benefits include employer contribution to your 401(k) plan, and Long-term Disability and Whole Life.
