Position Summary: The Department of Public Administration at Villanova University invites applicants for a post-doctoral teaching fellowship beginning Fall semester 2021. We welcome applications from all specializations within public administration but are especially interested in applicants with a specialization in federal and state government.

Duties and Responsibilities: Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching on-campus undergraduate courses in Public Service and Administration. Responsibilities may also include teaching on-campus and online graduate courses in the NASPAA-accredited Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. The teaching load for the position is three courses per semester. This is a one-year fellowship renewable for up to three years.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. by August 1, 2021 for appointment as Post-Doctoral Teaching Fellow.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants who provide evidence of teaching effectiveness, particularly in undergraduate courses.

Teaching statement including teaching philosophy, teaching and mentoring experience (1 page)
Undergraduate and graduate transcripts
Summary of teaching evaluations
Syllabus (uploaded as an 'Other Document' if you have taught a course), and
Statement of contribution to the University's mission and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) commitments (1-2 pages).
