PNP Staffing Group is pleased to be partnering with a top non-profit human services organization in their search for a Human Resources Manager.
The Human Resources Manager functions as a senior level generalist, whose primary responsibility is to oversee the day to day operations of the human resources department. This person will be responsible for all aspects of human resource activities including benefits administration, records management, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training coordination, affirmative action and compliance with Federal, state and local government employment law. In addition, the position works closely with the Director of Administration in reviewing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.
-Recruit, hire and provide supervision to assigned staff so that agency and department goals are communicated effectively, job performance is continuously evaluated and appropriate training is given.
-Direct the day to day operations of the human resources department as directed or assigned, i.e. giving direction to HR staff, assisting with prioritizing work products, responding to general HR related concerns and counseling managers, employees and HR staff on the interpretation of policies and procedures.
-Supervise the administration of employee benefits and payroll.
-Responsible for the administration of the recruitment program, including annual scheduling, monthly activities, and evaluation of program effectiveness.
-Oversee audit HR records and processes annually to monitor costs, efficiency or liability, and assist in the evaluation department systems in relation to annual goals and agency needs.
-Participate in the review of personnel policies and procedures including the maintenance of the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
-Assist Director with staff retention activities, such as staff recognition, career development, etc.
-Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resources management.
-Attend and participate in supervision, meetings and training sessions, as required.
-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Relevant certifications: SPHR, SHRM PHR or something similar
-7 plus years of nonprofit human resource experience
-Experience in system or process improvement approach to work.
-Demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
-Proven ability to research, analyze data and prepare reports, with prior experience with HR Metrics preferred.
-Ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with all levels of staff.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Project management experience.
-Customer service oriented and flexible.
-Strong computer skills - MS Office.
-Show initiative and be responsible for follow through.
-Ability to maintain confidential information, as related to position
