    Description

    The Choice is seeking a contract eLearning Manager for our client, a higher education association in the public health space. This is a temporary opportunity to cover for a staff member on leave. The position could start right away and will likely be through mid August.

    The Manager of eLearning is responsible for leading the planning, coordination and execution of the association's virtual educational offerings, including live and on-demand webinars, self-paced courses and Micro-credentialing program. This role ensures seamless integration and functionality within the learning management system (LMS), manages webinar logistics and the webinar calendar, and provides technical and user support to participants, presenters, and reviewers. Additionally, the position supports the successful development and delivery of eLearn courses.

    Requirements

    • At least five years of experience managing e-learning and virtual learning programs, including live webinars. Candidates with 8+ years of relevant experience could be considered at a director level.
    • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and LMS website management.
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education and experience is required.
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), PDF technology, Qualtrics, and video conference/meeting software such as Zoom/Teams. Ability to learn new technologies as needed.
    • Ability to work on a hybrid schedule, currently 3 days in the DC office and 2 days work from home. Some occasional travel could be required.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Lead and support the pre-production, live-production and post-production of live and on-demand webinars (estimated 2/month).
    • Coordinate and manage the eLearn webinar calendar.
    • Create registration pages for eLearn webinars in the learning management system (LMS).
    • Manage the Micro-credential (MC) submission and review process, including communication to and technical support for MC participants, oversees submissions in the LMS, and outreach to MC reviewers.
    • Provide support to courses hosted in the LMS and virtual platform, including opening the weekly modules, overseeing the synchronous sessions, and providing technical and customer support.
    • Develop and create self-paced courses in the LMS, including module creation, content adaptation and testing for quality assurance.
    • Perform other duties as needed.

    The office is located very centrally to Metro. Close walking distance to all Metro lines. 35 hour work week.
