JED Campus Assessment Project Manager (4-Year TERM)

 

Position Purpose

The Project Manager will provide project management, administrative coordination and support for all aspects of the College’s participation in the four-year JED Campus program for undergraduate and graduate students, designed to assess and enhance campus-wide student mental health and suicide prevention efforts. Working in close collaboration with the Student Wellness Center and the Health Service, the Project Manager will support the institutional JED oversight teams, facilitate communication with the JED Foundation Campus Advisor, operationalize the JED Campus Assessment process, and assist in coordinating all other aspects of broad campus involvement in this campus initiative. This is a four year term position.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Project Management: Partnering closely with the Health Service and under the direction of the Director of the Student Wellness Center, develops and implements JED Campus project timelines, supports and facilitates the work of the campus JED Oversight Teams of senior leaders, faculty, students and staff, and operationalizes detailed plans for JED surveys, campus engagement efforts, and outcomes implementation for students in Dartmouth’s undergraduate (Arts & Sciences) and graduate programs (Tuck School of Business, Thayer School of Engineering, Guarini School of Graduate Advanced Studies, Geisel School of Medicine). (40%)
  • Program Preparations: Manages development and production of relevant digital and print informational materials for the Oversight Team and other campus constituencies, collaborates with campus departments to provide logistical support for all aspects of related meetings and campus outreach. (35%)
  • Community Engagement: In support of the Health Service, the Student Wellness Center and the JED Oversight team, engages with students, faculty and staff to promote and deliver project programs and initiatives. (20%)
  • General Administrative Support: Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with campus constituencies, and provides other support for the JED Campus program as assigned (5%)

Required Qualifications - Education and Years Experience

  • Bachelor’s plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional organizational and project management experience in a higher education environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to synthesize and present information effectively, to develop positive campus constituency partnerships, and to employ tact and diplomacy under pressure in sensitive situations
  • Strong project management and time management skills, including attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute as a positive team player
  • Commitment to working some evening and weekend hours as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting cross-divisional and cross-constituency initiatives
  • Experience with Dartmouth administrative systems
