A large social service agency has partnered with NonProfit People Search (formerly Nonprofit People & Systems) to locate a full-time LMSW or LCSW.

In this role, you will be responsible for the supervision and direct oversight of a team of 3-4 licensed social workers, at various sites throughout the city, who work as Employment Specialists serving clients with a history of severe and persistent mental illness, HIV/AIDS and/or a history of homelessness. You will guide the team towards achieving goals. You will have significant decision-making, supervisory, administrative, and program management responsibilities and be critical in helping you team function at a high level to achieve performance targets and contribute to a culture that is client centered, outcome oriented, and dedicated to continuous quality improvement. As the clinical supervisor you will be responsible for managing various employer relationships along with establishing and maintaining relationships with external referral sources. This is a dynamic position which offers the opportunity to impact the growth and development of the program on multiple levels as part of the program’s management team. This position offers the opportunity to develop managerial skills, provide direct supervision to a team of master’s level social workers and provide crisis intervention, assessment and other support of program participants as needed. The underlying premise of the program is that employment can and does play an integral part in a person’s recovery path.


The position requires Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Public Health, Public Administration or related and 2+ years of applicable post-master’s experience. LCSW or LMSW without an LCSW may be accepted if it is determined that the applicant has made significant progress toward the LCSW.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled a collaborative work style based on open, transparent, continual communication, sharing, and inclusive decision-making are a must.
