  • Exceptional – We cultivate a strong business by investing in exceptional people. We collaborate with integrity and efficiency to achieve our business goals. We take great care to offer exceptionally indulgent chocolate with clean ingredients. No shortcuts.
  • Commitment – We're committed to lead in sustainable business practices through good times and bad. We build and nurture partnerships to drive meaningful, holistic change for people and planet.
  • Origins – Our innovative culture is fed by our passion for food and where it comes from. We honor our origins -- from our activist roots, to the fields of the farmers, to the sharing of chocolate around our community table.

Food continues to be made at the expense of the people and planet that feed us. We acknowledge that the destruction of our planet worsens inequities in the food system, disproportionately hurting marginalized groups.

We strive to conduct our business in a way that prioritizes social and environmental justice. We pay farmers above Fair Trade prices, fund community development, and support the transition to a regenerative agriculture model, providing resilience to adapt to a changing climate. We foster a workplace culture that is committed to supporting each other and our mission to be the change we want to see in the world.

The survival of our planet and food sources will rely on the restoration of our ecosystems and the elevation of marginalized communities.

We envision a world where we are all stakeholders in a regenerative, rather than extractive, food system -- where nourishing food is accessible to all, farmers can thrive from the food they grow, and the food system becomes a source of carbon capture instead of emissions.
