About the Role and Association:

A professional healthcare educational association located in downtown Washington, DC seeks a Certification and Assessment Manager with keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, an analytical mindset, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is a hybrid work model, with at least one day per week in the office required.

Under the leadership of the Director of Education and Professional Development, the Certification and Assessment Manager is responsible for the annual planning, implementation, and coordination of undergraduate certification for candidate programs, initial program certification, and program recertification.

The Manager also has significant operational responsibilities related to education efforts, including the Association's spring and fall webinar/town hall series, as we initiatives. The Manager will use their quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to plan and coordinate data-driven efforts designed to continually improve major initiatives through stakeholder evaluation input.


What You'll Do:

  • Staffing of volunteers serving on the Undergraduate Program Committee
  • Logistical responsibilities related to the Association's spring and fall webinar/town hall series, including scheduling, coordination, tracking all relevant details, completing setup via Zoom or other platforms, and managing registration and other technical aspects
  • Assistance in the planning and implementation of integral tasks, as well as the implementation and management of Teaching and Leadership Certificate initiatives
  • Planning and coordinating data-driven efforts to improve processes and outcomes for certification, etc.
  • Management, assessment, and improvement of the Health Administration, Management, and Policy Central Application System (HAMPCAS) in coordination with a contracted vendor
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education and Professional Development or the CEO
  • The Manager establishes and maintains effective working relationships with staff, leaders, Board members, and the broad and diverse membership. The Manager fosters a collaborative environment across all of these important stakeholders in order to achieve the Association's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Management of the Undergraduate Certification Review Process, including but not limited to:
  • Educating prospective programs on the process
  • Tracking and notifying programs of their status
  • Assigning and collecting process fees
  • Recruiting, assigning, and training volunteer reviewers
  • Collecting and distributing review materials, including eligibility and self-study documents, as well as draft and final review reports
  • Following up with stakeholders as needed to ensure timely completion of the process
  • Scheduling and overseeing review meetings and facilitating team communication


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years experience managing or coordinating logistically complicated programs, with preference given to continuing education and professional development programs/services, accreditation, or certification programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with data collection and management, data analysis and interpretation, and report writing.
  • Excellent skills related to communication, data management and analysis, and technology.
  • Undergraduate degree in education, business, communication, or any education or association-related field.
