CA4Health is hiring a Program Manager to provide leadership and support for infrastructure development and overall functioning of the CA4Health's equity, advocacy, and capacity building activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist Program Director with day-to-day oversight of project activities and grant deliverables, supervising staff, preparing and submitting progress reports, and managing and maintaining agreements with project community partners and others as required.
In coordination with the CA4Health Program Director, establish and maintain effective working relationships with funders.
Work with CA4Health Program Director and staff to identify, coordinate, and lead the submission of responses to funding opportunities.
Lead CA4Health's efforts related to local/regional policy change and collaborative statewide advocacy. Work with local health departments, statewide organizations, community-based organizations, and residents to uplift and leverage policy activities and action at the local, regional, statewide, and national levels.
Supervise and manage program staff as required to successfully complete project deliverables.
Establish and maintain regular communication with community partners, consultants and subcontractors as designated by CA4Health Program Director.
Contribute to the vision and growth of CA4Health through regular team meetings, staff development activities, and strong team communications.
Cultivate relationships to develop, maintain and enhance new and existing collaborations and partnerships regionally and statewide within the CA4Health community. These groups include, but not limited to, external public and private organizations, non-profit health agencies, other PHI projects, governmental agencies at the local, regional and state level, community-based groups, advocacy organizations, and other entities.
Support all efforts related to convening, organizing, and promoting CA4Health. This includes community organizing and capacity building for local/regional/state policy and systems change.
Assist with CA4Health communications materials and social media outreach.
At least 5 years of related work experience in public health and/or community engagement, policy engagement, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in program management.
Understanding of community engagement strategies.
Understanding of state, local, and federal policy processes.
Understanding of equity language, concepts and commitment to values of social justice.
Demonstrated track record and experience soliciting and securing funding.
Previous staff supervision experience.
Understanding and experience working with communities and organizations across California.
This is a 90% time (36 hours per week) position based in Oakland, CA with the potential of working from Sacramento, CA or working remotely.
This position involves approximately 20% travel. The individual selected for this position must have available transportation and the ability to travel to locations other than the assigned office.
