The International Rescue Committee is New Jersey’s largest refugee resettlement organization, serving over 800 refugees and immigrants each year with resettlement, economic empowerment, education and learning and immigration legal services.

IRC seeks committed, passionate and highly motivated individuals to support the IRC's mission as part of its summer internship program. Interns will support a variety of roles in the IRC's Elizabeth, NJ office, including front desk, refugee resettlement, economic empowerment, case management, youth program, adult education and immigration services.

Interns support IRC staff with administrative support, intake interviews, new arrival preparations, case management, resume writing, employer outreach, program planning and implementation and more, all while learning about the diverse refugee and immigrant populations served by the IRC in New Jersey.

Interns with ongoing availability through the fall semester are welcome.

Bilingual skills in languages of the populations served by the IRC are highly preferred (Spanish, French, Dari, Pashto, Swahili, Haitian Creole, Arabic).
