About the Organization

Global Language Project (GLP) advocates for and supports the expansion of K-12 world language programs in public schools by offering high quality curriculum and professional development opportunities for teachers throughout the United States. We ensure that teachers are preparing their students with 21st century skills, which will lead them to higher income potential, and provide them with enhanced cognitive skills and a global mindset. As part of our organization, you will be exposed to the inner-workings of a start up nonprofit, will play an integral role in the success of the organization, and will have the opportunity to join a growing team of committed individuals.

Global Language Project is currently seeking a Spring Sales and Marketing Intern.

Education and Experience:

  • College student at an accredited college or university
  • Experience or interest in social advocacy, educational outreach, and/or non-profit business
  • Interest/experience in sales and marketing

Key Competencies:

  • Interest in education and languages
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google Drive applications, and internet research
  • Excellent writing, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Interest/experience in sales and marketing
  • Available 3-5 days/week

Preferred Skills:

  • Graphic design
  • Videography (pre and/or post-production)

Duties will include:

  • Assist with GLP curriculum special projects and marketing
  • Help implement and manage marketing and PR plans
  • Document teacher training events through photography and video
  • Maintain the GLP social media accounts
  • Assist program managers in coordinating day-to-day operations at teacher training events
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Research best practices in world language education
  • Attend and represent GLP at events in New York City
