About the Position

The Health Business Development Intern will support on business development processes and activities to expand BRAC USA’s health portfolio. Responsibilities will include key business processes for proposal development (e.g., Salesforce tracking, due diligence documentation) and support with general prospecting of potential health opportunities and donors. This position will report to the Program Manager for Health, but there may be some adjacent work that will be overseen by the Program Officer for Health.

This is a paid, part-time internship. The ideal candidate will be able to work remotely 15-20 hours per week.  This position will require remote work and some time at BRAC USA’s office in the Financial District depending on the COVID-19 situation. This internship will begin on or about September 27,  2021 and continue for 13-15 weeks.

Primary Responsibilities

·     Support on donor due diligence and opportunity assessments for new funding opportunities

·     Update databases to track donor engagement using Salesforce and/or performance grant system. This may also include developing external materials (e.g., capability statements) for donors.

·     Conduct analysis on new funding opportunities, which may include research briefs or memos to disseminate to BRAC country teams

·     Identify and track health-related opportunities such as COVID-19 response, community health, digital health, family planning, and/or nutrition.

·     Contribute to the development of health proposals and concept notes, as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate and/or graduate student or recent graduate
  • A proven passion for international development and BRAC’s mission
  • Strong interest in global health and business development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong critical thinking skills with preferred background in research analysis
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, preferred
