The Phoenix's mission is to foster a supportive, physically active community for individuals who are recovering from a substance use disorder and for those who choose to live sober. Through activities such as CrossFit, climbing, hiking, yoga, boxing, and meditation, participants build confidence, self-respect, and community. The Phoenix offers free programs for anyone with 48 hours of sobriety, operating in 46 communities across the country and for people around the globe virtually. Since 2006, we have served 40,000 individuals.
The Rise Fellowship Program aims to increase equity in the nonprofit and recovery spaces, so we recruit applicants from diverse communities, particular people of color.
