    Description

    Summary

Developing and studying how NGOs operate in development work in international relations.

    Details

Art in Tanzania has been operating since 1996. Our community placements attract about 250 participants annually. Our vision is to give students hands-on experience working in developing African communities. In addition to your studies, you will have an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience of African culture and life, as well as fantastic nature and wildlife.

    Your tasks include as follows:

The placement includes practical community development work in African societies, including schools, companies, and various target groups, such as women's development groups and environmental tasks.

We work with NGO consortiums, such as UNICEF, the UN, etc., on specific targets to develop Tanzanian society.

We perform human rights advocacy work and support.

We are performing advocacy of the development aid for Africa and how the communities benefit from it.

We offer options to tailor your tasks according to your internship preferences, such as your preferred focus, studies, preferences, and previous experience.

The internship outcome is to learn to use your studies and experience to work in a developing country's conditions.

Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. Your program can last 2 weeks to 12 months, and an internship is usually 2-3 months long. The placement starting dates are flexible.

Academic-level team leaders supervise your internship daily. We monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to ensure you complete your tasks successfully.

We can take students year-round, as all programs are ongoing. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower your daily work with the community.

The typical morning tasks include practical fieldwork in the schools and communities, and afternoons are for planning, reporting, and social media visibility functions.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:

Accommodation with breakfast and dinner is EUR 175 per week, a personal expense. However, after the first 13 weeks, the cost drops to EUR 125 weekly.

Airport transfers from and to EUR 120 are a personal expense.

A charity student or volunteer VISA is USD 50 and is a personal expense. Less than a 1-year multiple-entry charity VISA is USD 250.

We pay you a USD 50 monthly stipend, which is small but twice Tanzania's national minimum wage.

    Flights are a personal expense.

The local transport program in Tanzania is a personal expense but small if needed.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy low-cost, sustainable tours and safaris.
