15 hr/week for spring semester 2021

We are seeking a communications intern available a minimum of 15 hours a week at a rate of $15/hr, to assist with impact, outreach, and research for our documentary projects, social media, marketing, as well as general office tasks. School credit in lieu of wages is available upon request.


Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with social media maintenance and copy for three verticals on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Contributing to web content and design for our project and organizational webpages
  • Data entry and correspondence regarding marketing and promotion of our film projects
  • Shipping items like DVDs, books, and other materials for our office and online store
  • Corresponding with festivals and licensors
  • Editing and transcribing archival and production footage
  • Running errands (e.g. send mail, buy office supplies)
  • Assisting in fundraising/grant writing efforts for our current film project


Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks 
  • Experience using all social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Interest in or ability to use analytics to boost impact and outreach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Enrollment in a degree program is a plus, but not required
  • NY-based preferred, but remote work is an option


Working Conditions

Wheelchair-Accessible Large SoHo Office (with several rooms to accommodate social distancing protocols), Remote

Desk-bound and occasional walking to run errands
