Worcester Homecoming is seeking an intern who will assist in the management and production of its annual event, Homecoming 2023. This is a unique opportunity for someone to be a part of a collaborative effort to build a network of Central MA alumni - notable individuals who grew up or spent time in the region, and moved elsewhere - and reconnect them to the region’s recent momentum and growth.
The primary responsibility of this role will be the management and development of our alumni database and network. In this position, the right candidate will have the opportunity to exercise their skills in research, project management, internal communications, and data analysis. They will be expected to work independently to oversee critical datasets and organize spreadsheets, while also discerning insights and creating reports to share across teams. The ideal candidate will have experience with community management and/or economic development, especially if in Central MA.
This position reports to the Executive Director and will support the work of the Executive Committee and Sub-Committees. The position will have direct access to executives at many anchor institutions and businesses in Central MA, including but not limited to, Fontaine Brothers, the Hanover Insurance Group, UMass Memorial Health, the Worcester Business Journal, and WPI.
Worcester Homecoming 2023 is set for Sept. 27 - 29, 2023. There is an opportunity to extend this role beyond the academic year.

Hours: 8-10 hours per week, flexible schedule with approval
Compensation: $15 per hour
This is essentially a remote position that requires wi-fi access and may include in-person meetings in Worcester, MA from time to time. Transportation is not required for this position.
